The Atrium

You know AI exists.
Now use it every day.

The Atrium is an Austin community for professionals who've poked at Claude and ChatGPT, watched a few demos, and haven't crossed into consistent, purposeful daily use. We're the room where people who figured it out pull the rest of us forward.

Austin · In person

The room is
in Austin.
The work is face-to-face.

We meet in libraries, co-working spaces, and anywhere with good light and enough chairs. The digital home exists so we can find each other between rooms, not to replace them.

If you're in Austin, come stand in the actual room. If you're not, you won't miss out: virtual events are on the way, and the question board stays open between gatherings.

Founder-led

Julia Kahky runs each gathering with one goal: leave with something you'll actually use on Monday.

No stage, no screen

Tables, chairs, real conversation. The best moment is usually the one nobody planned.

Between gatherings

The forum and video library keep the conversation going so the room doesn't go quiet after one night.

Why "The Atrium"

The open space
a building is
designed around.

The Romans built the atrium as the first room of the house, the open space where you greeted your guests. It's still the center a building is designed around. Light comes in from above. Every room connects back to it. It's where people pass through, slow down, and run into each other.

That's what this is. Not a classroom, not a conference room. A place to gather, slow down, find your footing, and come back to. We just made ours about AI. And the A and I don't hurt either.

A community, not a course

No curriculum, no certificates, no funnel. Just a room, on purpose, more than once.

In-person first

Founder-led gatherings in Austin. The digital home exists so we can find each other between rooms, not to replace them.

Peer-to-peer

The person on stage last month is in the audience this month. Nobody the guru. Somebody figured it out; the rest of us catch up.

Who this is for

Past the basics.
Ready for daily practice.

If you're looking to expand your comfort with AI and join the conversation, this community is for you.

You'll fit right in if
  • You use an LLM regularly but may be new to agents or coding.
  • Your work is real, messy, specific, and you know AI can help.
  • You want to leave a room with one thing you'll actually run on Monday.
  • You'd rather compare notes than watch a keynote.
  • You've been curious about AI and want a room where you can ask the real questions.
Everyone welcome

Whether you've never opened ChatGPT or you're already shipping agents at work, you're welcome here. The gatherings are shaped around getting AI into daily working life, but the door is open. Bring the question you've been sitting on.

Come once. Come every month. Bring a coworker.

Upcoming gathering

The first meetup.
From idea to production, together.

We'll walk through what The Atrium is, build an app together from idea to production, and open the floor for questions.

Agenda
  1. 01

What The Atrium is, who's in the room, and how we work together.

We take one idea and ship it — from prompt to a production app — in front of the room.

  3. 03
    Q&A

Open floor. Bring the thing you're stuck on, the workflow you want to steal, or the question you've been sitting on.
